Love Your Block Grant

Love Your Block is an initiative of NYC Service in partnership with Citizens Committee for New York City that provides a unique opportunity for neighborhood groups to transform and improve their communities through local action while leveraging City services. 

Resident-led volunteer groups receive a grant of up to $1,000 and City services provided by the Department of Parks and Recreation, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Sanitation of New York, and the Department of Environmental Protection to help improve their block. In addition to the grant and City services, groups receive project planning and community building assistance as well as support with local media coverage for the project.

Application Instructions 

STEP 1

Review our grant guidelines to see if your group's project and the Love Your Block grant are good match.

STEP 2

Attend an information session to learn more about the grant application process and to think through ideas you may already have for your project. You are not required to attend an application workshop to apply for our grant.

Fill out an application that will be available September 21st.

Submit your application.

Submit your application by 11:59 PM on November 6th - this includes mailed applications. Applications should be complete submitted via the following:
