Gardening with Herbs: A Thyme for Healing

Join Hattie Carthan Herban Farm founder Farmer Yon in a participatory exploration of herbs in the urban landscape. Participants will learn how to work with common garden plants for wellbeing and health. We will craft a simple delicious spring tonic from plants growing on the farm.

In this workshop, we will explore the questions: What is 501(c)(3)? Does it make sense for your community group to apply for 501(c)(3) status? What is the difference between 501(c)(3), incorporation, and tax exemption? What are the benefits and obligations of each? What are the drawbacks? What is fiscal sponsorship? We will not cover how to become a 501(c)(3).
