Citizens Committee For New York City To Honor Lisa Laukitis, Esq. and Randall Eisenberg At Annual All-In For New York City Cocktail Reception

NEW YORK - October 24, 2023 — Citizens Committee for New York City (CitizensNYC), a micro-funding organization that supports neighborhood leaders across all five boroughs, will host its annual fall fundraiser celebrating New York City and the generosity of the corporate restructuring community, which has come together to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support CitizensNYC’s mission.

Our annual cocktail reception will celebrate honorees for their dedication to our city and their support of our work to support our network of community leaders and small business partners. You can join us at 583 Park Avenue on Monday, October 30th at 6:00.

This event will be off the record, but we invite press to attend with prior notice.

Our 2023 honorees are Lisa Laukitis, Partner, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and Randall Eisenberg, Partner and Managing Director, AlixPartners, and is chaired by Paul H. Deutch, Executive Vice President, Omni Agent Solutions, and member of the CitizensNYC Board of Directors.

“When we think about addressing the bigger problems in our communities, it can be daunting,” said Ms. Laukitis. “Especially when your community is New York City. That’s why I’m so grateful for the work CitizensNYC is doing. They know that it doesn’t always take a lot to make a big change. It just takes commitment. When you invest in people who are leaders in their community - like CitizensNYC does - you’re investing in the change they make. And that investment is always money well spent.”

“Strong communities are rich in content, rich in culture, and most of all, rich in generosity,” said Mr. Eisenberg. “CitizensNYC supports and incentivizes local community members - New Yorkers with the courage, enthusiasm and initiative to make their communities more enriching. Investing in local communities achieves a lasting positive impact on its residents. It is this commitment for positive change, spearheaded by local community leaders, that CitizensNYC is there to empower.”

“Lisa and Randall exemplify the values CitizensNYC puts into practice every day,” said Mr. Deutch. “CitizensNYC has spent almost fifty years helping New Yorkers—especially those in low-income areas—come together and improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods. Lisa and Randall have spent decades working towards the same goals. I’m thrilled to honor their tireless work as leaders in their communities and their industry.”

CitizensNYC’s work is made possible by the generosity of the sponsors of our All-In For New York City Cocktail Fundraiser event from the corporate restructuring industry, including the leadership support of: Ropes & Gray LLP; Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP; and AlixPartners.

WHEN: Monday, October 30, 2023, 6:00PM - 9:00PM ET

WHERE: 538 Park Avenue - 583 Park Ave, New York, NY 10065

Citizens Committee for New York City was founded in 1975, when the city was facing an unprecedented period of financial hardship and more than 10,000 New Yorkers boldly stepped up to help their communities.

Nearly 50 years later, CitizensNYC continues to invest in the power of community leadership. With your support, we connect New Yorkers with the tools, resources, and platform they need to create lasting change across all five boroughs of New York City.

The community leaders we support are the ones leading creative arts initiatives, soup kitchens, sports mentorship programs, health workshops for seniors, community gardens, and so much more. They are the small business owners providing opportunities and centers of community for their neighborhoods.

Our 2024 grantmaking cycle will open in November. We look forward to hearing from New Yorkers with their ideas for improving their communities.
