100 Quincy Garden is replacing its deteriorating and mite-infested chicken coop with a durable, hospitable coop that is more conducive to the health of their chickens as well as easier to clean and maintain. The improved coop is allowing the garden to make its chicken and animal workshops more accessible to community members.

100 Quincy Community Garden is beautifying several blocks in the neighborhood as part of a community revitalization effort. The group is installing tree guards and street planters and putting up decorative lamp pole banners.

100 Quincy Community Garden is building a multi-bin composter to engage garden members, neighbors, and local businesses in composting. Through working with local residents as well as small businesses, the group is diverting over 200 pounds of organic waste per week, turning it into valuable compost to use in their community garden.

100 Quincy Community Garden is building a new community garden on a vacant lot used as a dumping ground for many years. It is building a rainwater collection system to water their plants and a shed to store their tools. Members are hosting bi-weekly workshops for the larger community on conservation and sustainability.
