Bridge Street Development Corporation Workshops

Bridge Street offers ongoing free workshops to the community covering a range of programs including housing education, foreclosure prevention,  community organizing, neighborhood beautification, financial literacy, senior services, and more.

The Democracy at Work Institute put together a presentation and discussion about starting and running worker cooperatives for farms and small businesses. This is a great resource for small farming groups looking to expand their work to a cooperative model.

The Youth Farm at the High School for Public Service offers free community workshops that cover everything from common garden techniques to healthy cooking to food justice.

Orchard Donations

The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation donates orchards where the harvest will best serve communities for generations at places such as community gardens, public schools, parks, low-income neighborhoods, Native American reservations, international hunger relief sites, and animal sanctuaries.

Grants for Social Change

The Pollination Project gives $1,000 per day, 365 days a year, to an individual change-maker with a well thought out social change project. Funding categories include: environmental sustainability, justice, community health and wellness, and social change-oriented arts and culture.
