Mikey Likes It Ice Cream is a minority-owned business that provides job opportunities, special discounts, and donates proceeds to causes. Mikey has gone into public schools to teach kids about entrepreneurship and provide them with the chance to earn money. Schools have been able to purchase basketball uniforms, computers, school supplies, and more thanks to his efforts. He has also helped a school in Harlem raise $15k for computer upgrades. If awarded a grant, Mikey would be able to make improvements to the setup of a new store and become more sustainable by sourcing local and organic ingredients. The funding will also help with financial stability, create customer loyalty, and keep up with the growing market demand.
