Project snapshot

I’m leading the Si Se Puede Community Arts Program in Flatbush, serving a diverse, largely immigrant community with crucial, free performing arts education for children in grades K-6. This program, open to all regardless of income or nationality, nurtures self-confidence, empathy, and creativity, addressing the significant arts access gap. We foster an inclusive environment by utilizing our expertise in bilingual education and multicultural engagement. Our curriculum blends core art skills with socio-emotional learning, encouraging students to create works reflecting their personal experiences and aspirations. This initiative not only teaches art but also empowers youth with vital skills for personal and social advancement.
