I’m planning to use the funds to enhance our live outdoor jazz sessions, which we host on weekends as part of our local DOT Open Streets program. This initiative transforms our streets into car-free zones, enabling residents to enjoy their neighborhood and vibrant jazz performances, fostering a strong community spirit. We promote these events through Facebook and Instagram, reaching a broad audience and drawing diverse groups together. Music, especially live jazz, uniquely unites various elements of our community, creating lasting bonds among attendees. After the grant period, we will continue to fund these community-enriching events with our own resources, ensuring their sustainability and ongoing contribution to local culture and cohesion.
