Buryat Club is hosting its annual forum that promotes the preservation and strengthening of Buryat traditions in New York. The Buryat diaspora, a Mongolic ethnic group, has a small community in New York City and it is their imperative for them to preserve a culture that is considered endangered. Alongside the Mongol American Cultural Association, the forum is discussing language and Buryat traditions but also developing community confidence and resilience by giving the diaspora stories that will inspire them to pass them on to future generations.
