Crown Heights, Brooklyn

Project snapshot

In our Brooklyn neighborhoods, many seniors face increasing isolation as they age. Government facilities like OACs and NORCs often don?t meet their personal wellness needs, especially for those living alone or facing language barriers. To address this, I?m launching the Joyful Aging and Wellness project. Our goal is to provide alternative wellness services such as yoga, breathwork, and meditation to improve health and mood. We will hold classes in a Salt Cave, offer yoga sessions, and create opportunities for seniors to connect, strengthening community ties among seniors, caregivers, and their communities.
