Project snapshot

The Gatekeepers Collective’s Learning To Love is a public art and theater project that showcases one-act plays and visual art exhibits by same-gender loving (SGL) artists, promoting self-love, amplifying SGL voices, and sparking dialogue on LGBTQ+ issues within the African American community. By centering the voices of SGL artists and communities, this project aims to foster inclusivity, support identity reformation, and educate the larger community about sexual diversity. Through free access to public art and theater, The Gatekeepers Collective hopes to create a more inclusive and equitable arts community while challenging systemic inequalities.
