Project snapshot

The Power of Love Project’s Freedom Summer program is an arts and activism summer program for young people ages 11-21. Through this program, participants will explore social justice concepts, create art in various forms such as theater, poetry, sculpture, painting, dance, and music that reflects their perspectives on these topics. At the end of the program, students will have an Open Studio exhibition to showcase their work and spread awareness of the issues they have learned about throughout the program. Freedom Summer also provides an opportunity for young people to connect with one another and come together in a safe, creative environment to create awareness around social justice.
