The Artichoke Dance Company is performing tours at environmentally neglected areas like the Gowanus Canal and Newton Creek. Bringing the perspectives of people who live in these areas to light through tours are teaching the audience about the areas? history and how its neglected state is impacting the community negatively. With local community organizers conducting the tours, the audience will be informed and have discussions about environmental justice for Brooklyn and Queens.
