Community Tax Relief Inc. is dedicated to providing tax counseling, resolution, and free tax preparation services to elderly individuals and families living below the poverty line. The organization specifically targets those who are isolated, living alone without family support, and non-native English speakers. In addition to offering on-site tax preparation at their Brooklyn office, they will mobilize a volunteer team to conduct tax clinics at senior day care centers, assisted living facilities, libraries, and even provide home visits for those unable to travel. Language accommodations will be made with staff members fluent in Hebrew, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian and volunteer interpreters available for other languages. Virtual services will also be provided for convenience.
