BKLVLUP Community Land Trust, in partnership with Black Diasporas, is organizing an event at Hillel Plaza to collect and share oral histories for their digital Community Scrapbook. The project aims to preserve the traditions and aspirations of East Flatbush, Flatbush, and Flatlands residents while informing future real estate developments in the area. Through live music performances, mobile recording booths for oral histories, and a resource center tent, the event seeks to engage community members who may have lost faith in civic engagement due to years of divestment.
