Project snapshot

The Sustainable Fashion Community Center SFCC, known as the “happy place” for neighbors, aims to serve all New Yorkers, especially our primarily Spanish-speaking community members. With this grant, we will translate all online and in-store communications into Spanish and create informative videos on sustainable fashion. These videos will educate and empower our neighbors to advocate for fair trade and cultural preservation. The content will bridge the gap between our local Hispanic community and their countries of origin, featuring prominent members like Carla Farina and Isabel Varela. This project aims to enhance our relationship with the over 500 neighbors we consistently serve, creating a more inclusive environment. Our ultimate goal is to establish a content creation studio where neighbors can share their stories and connect their clothing and cultural backgrounds.
