Project snapshot

Community Garden Green Up projects will run every weekend starting April 22nd, Earth Day 2024. Our core volunteers from Time?s Up will publicize these workdays via social media, email, and community signs. Each weekend, we will assist different gardens with large projects, encouraging new volunteers to support these gardens long-term. We will work at Green Oasis Garden on the first Saturday, La Plaza Community Garden on the second, Carmen?s Garden on the third, and clean up abandoned lots on the fourth. Volunteers trained by Time?s Up often become permanent members of local gardens. This project is vital for maintaining volunteer-run gardens, as there is no paid staff. Our goal is to foster long-term community involvement and garden sustainability.
