Activate Our Garden is providing educational art projects to the Northern Queens community as a way to promote volunteerism and environmental awareness. They provide art making activities for all ages during Estuary Day and Native Planting Day in partnership with Friends of Alley Pond Park. There are two main projects: one that allows participants to take home, and another that will be made by the community and will be framed and proudly displayed at the park. Through these projects, Activate Our Garden hopes to create an ongoing sense of pride in the community along with a reminder to care for our environment.
