In 2024, I’m seeking a grant to enhance our East Village neighborhood gardens with comprehensive audio-video-lighting support, allowing them to host various community events like concerts, readings, and discussions. We plan to purchase and provide the necessary equipment for these events and train one to two local high school students to manage the technology. This initiative not only enriches community gatherings by making them more dynamic and accessible but also introduces young people to the audiovisual industry through hands-on experience. By equipping and empowering local youth, we aim to foster a vibrant cultural atmosphere in our public gardens, ensuring they remain vital spaces for community engagement and expression.
