148 Renaissance Block Association

Hamilton Heights, Manhattan

Project snapshot

148 Renaissance: The Spring Renewal Project fosters neighborhood cohesion on 148th Street through three community-driven interventions — a Block Clean-Up, Garden & Tree Care Day, and a Multigenerational Block Party. By combining resident-led environmental stewardship, public-space activation, and intergenerational programming, the initiative reduces social isolation, enhances street-level aesthetics, and strengthens cross-building social networks.
