Project snapshot
A. Bernadette is hosting community organizing workshops to equip community organizers, nonprofits, and activists with advanced skills in grassroots mobilization, fundraising, and advocacy. The workshop aims to help participants refine their project ideas, develop strategic action plans, and implement impactful community initiatives. A key component of this expansion is the introduction of a pitch competition, where attendees will present their initiatives for a chance to win a $500 prize to jumpstart their work. This initiative will foster collaboration, encourage innovation, and strengthen a network of engaged community leaders. By providing hands-on training, mentorship, and funding, the program ensures that participants have the tools needed to create long-term, sustainable change in their neighborhoods. With this support, local changemakers will drive tangible social impact, promote civic engagement, and enhance the effectiveness of grassroots movements in New York City.
