Project snapshot

Most disabled people in Queens can’t visit community gardens, missing out on lifelong activities and sharing valuable knowledge. This project aims to create an accessible garden space, allowing disabled neighbors to engage in horticultural learning together. Our goal is to build raised beds at different heights, add tactile labels and audio guides, and provide ergonomic tools and accessible furniture. This will create an inclusive space for all community members. We will engage over 200 volunteers via Instagram and email, partnering with local groups and high school students for support.
