Project snapshot

Long Island Drum Center, a longstanding Little Neck, Queens establishment dedicated to the joy of music, aims to use grant funds to modernize teaching rooms with advanced technology, like video screen systems for lesson playback and enhanced sound systems. They plan to increase advertising to reach more communities and upgrade facilities for handicap accessibility. Besides their commitment to music education and instrument repairs, they’ve notably participated in local community events like Queens Rock Fest and Battle of the Bands, providing equipment donations and hosting master classes, highlighting their active engagement with their surrounding community.
