Baychester, Brooklyn

Project snapshot

Led by BADA Community Development Corporation Inc., the Future Entrepreneurs Empowerment Program (FEEP), is a transformative 17-week initiative designed to equip Black and Brown transgender individuals with the skills and resources to launch their own businesses. Held at the Brooklyn Community Pride Center, FEEP provides expert-led workshops in business planning, marketing, legal structures, and social media strategy. Participants receive mentorship, pro bono legal support, a weekly stipend, mental health resources, and nutritious meals—ensuring a holistic approach to empowerment. FEEP addresses systemic challenges, including high unemployment and housing instability within the transgender community, by fostering economic independence and entrepreneurial success. Success stories, such as We L.I.T., LLC, a candle company founded by a FEEP graduate, highlight the program’s impact. By breaking down barriers and providing tangible opportunities, FEEP transforms lives, empowering transgender entrepreneurs to create sustainable businesses and thrive as leaders in their communities.
