Project snapshot

Since its inception in 2001, I’ve had the privilege of leading the Brides’ March, an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence. Thanks to Assembly Member Amanda Septimo’s generous earmark of $25,000 in 2023, our grassroots effort is evolving into a more formal organization. We’ve just commemorated our 23rd march, an occasion that brought together survivors, social service partners, political figures, and allies for strategic planning. Our focus is on enhancing outreach to engage our community more deeply, including efforts to connect with those who haven’t previously been involved in our cause. By utilizing a comprehensive database of supporters and innovating our approach, we will create a sense of community and support among survivors.
