Project snapshot

In New York City, budget cuts have closed essential programs, leaving families with disabled members underserved. Our project aims to fill this gap by creating an inclusive urban farm, a sanctuary for community engagement, learning, and growth. Our goals are to create accessible, inclusive spaces, promote sustainability and food security, and strengthen community bonds. This initiative will improve access to community spaces, enhance engagement, and increase sustainability. We?ll reach out through social media, community boards, and partnerships, organizing events like Autism Awareness bingo nights and workshops to involve everyone. To sustain the project post-grant, we’ll implement a membership model, sell produce, and partner with local businesses. Fundraising and grant applications will ensure long-term viability, making the farm a cherished, self-sustaining community asset.
