Project snapshot

Cambria Heights’ Garden Stewards Collective will restore an urban community garden through a three-tier plan—horticulture, sustainability, and engagement—by constructing raised beds, conducting soil assessment and indoor seed germination, establishing a youth mentorship bed and native pollinator plantings, installing a three-bin community composter and a single-hive apiary, and delivering seasonal and monthly educational and cultural events. The project enhances local food access, pollinator habitat, climate-resilient planting practices, composting infrastructure, and intergenerational learning, strengthening neighborhood cohesion and environmental stewardship.
