Project snapshot
Carrie McCracken Community Garden will mitigate chronic flooding and improve accessibility by leveling sloped paths with small, pebble-like rocks to enhance drainage, reduce pooling and erosion, and provide stable walkways for seniors and mobility-challenged visitors. They will also contract GreenThumb experts to construct a storage-shed roof to protect tools, extend equipment life, and prevent injury from falling debris. These safety and resilience upgrades sustain the garden as an inclusive community gathering space.
