Project snapshot

The Center For Hope Coalition: a culturally responsive emergency preparedness program serving older adults in NYCHA buildings in West Brighton, Staten Island. It addresses social isolation, language barriers, and limited mobility by delivering tailored preparedness workshops in senior centers and community spaces, partnering with local churches for outreach, and distributing customized emergency go-kits. Staff completed comprehensive training with NYC Emergency Management. The initiative strengthens resilience for under-resourced, diverse seniors facing climate-driven extreme weather and public health disparities.
