Chinese-American Sports and Community Service Association Inc.

Bensonhurst, Brooklyn

Project snapshot

The Chinese-American Sports and Community Service Association (CASCSA) is dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and cultural pride within the Asian-American community. Founded in 2012, CASCSA offers sports training, competitions, and recreational opportunities to individuals of all ages in South Brooklyn, serving over 20,000 athletes. Since 2015, their youth sports programs have aimed to reduce screen time, improve health, and boost self-esteem. CASCSA also fosters leadership development, with a youth leadership program launched in 2021 that recruits high school and college volunteers, primarily Asian-American, providing them with valuable work experience and leadership skills. The association is expanding its sports programs and improving equipment to enhance skill development and mental health support. By organizing larger tournaments and community events, CASCSA promotes diversity, mutual respect, and cultural understanding. Through these efforts, CASCSA is empowering Asian-American youth, encouraging wellness, and creating future community leaders who can drive positive change.
