Project snapshot
Destiny Bound is spearheading a youth mentorship program that focuses on science, technology, engineering and math in collaboration with community center, libraries, museums and other local institutions. The group is incorporating STEM concepts and culturally appropriate content in its curriculum to make the experience accessible and fun. Youth participants are evaluating their community through a STEM lens by examining trees and flowers in parks as well as gravity and motion through ziplining. They are applying this mindset in their everyday life and exploring potential pathways to a STEM career.
