Project snapshot

The Resiliency Now, Making the Connection Initiative aims to raise awareness about the need for resiliency measures in the Edgemere Community, which still suffers from tidal flooding 12 years after Superstorm Sandy. My goal is to educate and engage residents on Climate Change impacts and available resources. City and State governments have not engaged the community on these issues, leading to apathy. I want to connect homeowners, public housing tenants, and renters, encouraging them to report flooding to ensure data reaches officials who can implement solutions. We aim to inspire positive contributions and increase involvement by fostering a sense of community.
