Project snapshot

Edison Youth Center has a six-week mental wellness camp program dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of Brooklyn’s youth. Through a diverse range of activities—including mindfulness exercises, yoga, art therapy, group discussions, and outdoor recreation—the camp provides children and teens with essential tools to manage stress, regulate emotions, and strengthen communication skills. Each week focuses on a key aspect of mental wellness, ensuring participants develop resilience and self-awareness in a safe, supportive environment. By engaging with mental health professionals and peers, youth receive guidance and mentorship, fostering personal growth and emotional well-being. With the growing mental health crisis among children, this initiative fills a critical gap by offering free, accessible support to families in need.
