Fraternidad de los Angeles Inc.

Washington Heights, Manhattan

Project snapshot

Fraternidad de los Ángeles conducts remote, Spanish-language Emotional Self-Care Healing Circles and a Leadership Empowerment module for Latina immigrant women in Washington Heights. Using Zoom-based culturally responsive sessions, mindfulness, guided reflection, peer support, and structured workshops on communication, advocacy, and conflict resolution, the program trains participants as co‑facilitators, peer mentors, and outreach coordinators. It builds supportive networks that sustain peer-to-peer resource sharing and community organizing. The intervention strengthens emotional well-being, resilience, and civic leadership, enabling participants to initiate community projects, advocate for families, and serve as local role models.
