Greenpoint Reformed Church Hunger Program

Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Project snapshot

The Greenpoint Reformed Church Hunger Program conducts a recurring outreach program deploying volunteer teams to distribute assembled support kits containing hygiene supplies (deodorant, wipes), alcohol-free mouthwash, gum, socks, protein bars, water bottles, and a $A+ transit card to individuals experiencing housing insecurity and low income. The intervention reduces barriers to personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility, enhances health and dignity, and strengthens community resilience through sustained volunteer engagement.
