Hampton, Sterling, Virginia Place & Kingston Avenue Block Association, Inc

Crown Heights, Brooklyn

Project snapshot

The Hampton, Sterling, Virginia Place & Kingston Avenue Block Association, Inc has made remarkable strides in enhancing the community’s environment through its tireless commitment to green space revitalization. Over the past two years, this vibrant association has transformed desolate urban spaces into thriving green hubs, aligning with the NYC Million Tree Initiative to combat global climate change. By nurturing native trees and plants, our association has not only beautified the neighborhood – fondly referred to as ?The Hamptons on Hampton Place? – but also fostered a healthier, more inviting urban ecosystem. Our goal is to noticeably reduce litter and loitering as well as an increase wildlife activity. Moving forward into 2024, we will adopt and safeguard 20 trees, further fostering community engagement and sustainability through workshops, events, and volunteerism.
