Project snapshot

Image Maker Films is producing a live-action drama film that centers around the identity and its validation of a second-generation Asian- American trans person, and their family that belongs to a South Asian ethnic group, and of Muslim background. Influenced by real-life events, this film seeks to advocate for equitable solutions to community problems through its social justice storytelling. At its core, it is a story of growth and acceptance as the family learns to embrace their own child’s gender expression. Image Maker Films hopes to positively impact the lives of people with similar narratives and create meaningful social change through this movie.
