Project snapshot

Our Right to Recycle Collection Initiative operates a door-to-door zero-waste collection and education program at Wagner Houses (East Harlem), providing weekly at-home recycling and textile diversion, outreach/enrollment, and free in-home food-recycling appliances. The initiative expands green job pathways and civic engagement while reducing landfill-bound waste through textile and battery collection and composting support. By lowering participation barriers and scaling outreach, it increases recycling access and environmental equity for nearly 5,000 residents, improving public-housing sustainability and local circular-economy outcomes.
