Project snapshot

JCHHOMES, Inc. is helping low-income New Yorkers and those at risk of homelessness by enhancing its housing resource seminars and informational booklets. Through partnerships with community organizations in Queens and Brooklyn, JCHHOMES hosts six annual seminars, educating attendees on public assistance, low-income housing applications, legal aid, and other critical services. To further bridge the knowledge gap, JCHHOMES distributes a comprehensive resource booklet that serves as a one-stop guide for those navigating housing instability. However, with growing community demand, the organization aims to update and expand the booklet to include food pantries, clothing giveaways, emergency shelters, and additional legal aid providers. By equipping residents—especially immigrants, seniors, and youth aging out of foster care—with accessible, up-to-date information, JCHHOMES is helping individuals make informed decisions, secure stable housing, and build a foundation for long-term independence.
