Project snapshot
I’m leading the Broke-N Theater Festival, an initiative that provides homeless theater companies with free access to performance spaces. This festival addresses the critical lack of permanent venues for these groups, supporting their artistic endeavors by covering expenses like insurance, space rental, and technical support over one to two months, depending on funding. Our goal is to foster a collaborative network among independent touring companies. Through this community, companies can apply jointly for funds to host future festivals, increasing employment opportunities for artists. Beyond artistic support, our commitment extends to community involvement, such as cooking at local Older Adult Centers. This blend of art and service aims to empower artists and enhance community well-being through creative and practical support.
