Project snapshot

Liberty Girls NYC convenes a community skate meet and fundraiser honoring Domestic Violence Awareness Month that combines movement, mutual aid, and survivor-centered resources. The project integrates beginner-friendly group skating, a professional-led stretch and grounding session, live music, and free skate rentals, plus an on-site care-kit station where volunteers assemble wellness kits (hygiene items, snacks, affirmations, journals) for delivery to local shelters. This model reinforces community cohesion, increases accessibility to healing practices, and provides tangible, sustained support to survivors beyond the event.
