The Loisaida Open Streets Community Coalition partners with local cultural organizations to provide free cultural programming on the Ave B Open Street, creating a space for community members of all ages and backgrounds to connect and enjoy diverse activities. From April through November, events include art activities, music performances, dance, poetry readings, and more. This initiative addresses the need for green spaces in Manhattan’s Lower East Side while promoting inclusivity and providing recreational opportunities for residents who may have limited access to cultural and recreational activities due to income inequality.
