Project snapshot
Love Wins NYC is expanding its Beyond the Pantry Outreach Program (BPOP) to better support food-insecure LGBTQ+ and immigrant communities in New York City. This volunteer-led initiative addresses the unique challenges faced by these populations, who often experience discrimination when seeking food assistance. Through targeted outreach at shelters, community centers, bars, and train stations, BPOP connects individuals to immediate relief in the form of fresh, nutritious produce, while also providing access to broader resources and support. In addition to food, the program focuses on building long-term connections by offering referrals and a welcoming, inclusive environment. Many in these communities face housing and economic instability, making it crucial to offer both immediate and ongoing help. With over 30,000 individuals served annually, Love Wins NYC continues to offer essential resources to some of the most vulnerable communities in NYC.
