Project snapshot
Maple Street Community Garden: The project delivers a series of six interactive art workshops focused on sustainability education and circular-material practices, leveraging existing green infrastructure (solar panels, drip irrigation) to model resilient urban stewardship. Sessions limited to 15 participants each teach cardboard cartonnage, community mural design/execution, frame-loom weaving, shibori onion-skin dyeing, seasonal wreath assembly, and T-shirt upcycling. By combining experiential arts with material reuse, the initiative builds local skills, fosters social cohesion, reduces waste, and increases community engagement with sustainable site management.
