Project snapshot
Melquain Jatelle Anderson Foundation (MJAF) is breaking down the stigma of shame around trauma amongst its community members who have suffered from gun violence. The group is creating a safe and supportive healing space for participants to share their experiences of losing a loved one and living in neighborhoods with an uptick of violence. Participants are also making herbal oils and body scrubs that are beneficial to their overall health conditions and practicing meditations to alleviate their anxiety.
