Project snapshot
Neighbors for a Greener Harlem is engaging young families from the local New York City Housing Authority community and neighbors in gardening. The group is replacing old garden boxes. Experiencing food insecurity, the aspiring gardeners are growing their own food and practicing composting to contribute their part to caring for the environment. The project is culminating with a potluck to celebrate the improved green space and the collaborative and green community.
