Project snapshot
Norwood Community Library will launch a Bronx Reading Series spotlighting Bronx writers through 4–5 public events at community hubs (libraries, gardens, cultural centers). Each event features a Bronx author in a moderated hour-long conversation plus audience Q&A, with 30–40 free copies of the featured book distributed per event prioritizing youth, low-income attendees, and avid readers. Funding covers honoraria, book procurement, promotion, and logistics. The series advances hyperlocal literacy, cultural representation, and community cohesion in underserved Bronx neighborhoods.
