Project snapshot

Opera Exposures, Inc. will present an original staged production titled “Songs of Resistance: Elizabeth Jennings Graham—100 Years Before Rosa Parks” at the Empire Playhouse, offering subsidized school-day field trips for local elementary students. The program combines period-inspired vocal performance, narration, and visual design to teach civil rights history, uplift Black women leaders, and broaden access to live classical performance; Opera Exposures covers transportation, venue, and artist costs to remove barriers to arts and civic education for the community.
