Park Place – Underhill Avenue Block Association (PPUABA)

Prospect Heights, Brooklyn

Project snapshot

Block Association Fresh Food Project: The group organizes donor-funded purchases and volunteer deliveries of wholesale-priced fresh produce from a local family-owned supermarket, with no paid staff or overhead so all funds supply food to community members experiencing food insecurity. Volunteers coordinate multiple weekly deliveries; the project seeks to add two Saturday deliveries per month to enable participation by full-time workers, expand volunteer capacity, and increase distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables to vulnerable neighbors.
