Project snapshot

Prospect Farm has always been an important part of my community, especially during these tough times. With the recent budget cuts to our community composting program and the suspension of our partnership with Big Reuse, we have faced challenges. However, we have remained dedicated to being a public food scrap drop-off site and have adapted by processing all compost on-site. We have seen an increase in membership and volunteers, allowing us to tackle the challenge of increasing food waste. But to sustainably manage this growth and continue serving our community effectively, we need funding for essential infrastructure improvements, such as new compost bins and a sifter to handle the growing demand.
